Yeah. Offers are *normally* considered for people with 1 grade lower than minimum, if they think the candidate has the potential to meet the offer. But, in the case of A*, as some colleges/sixth forms aren't giving them out they treat them the same as an A prediction. This is mainly because the A* has only just been introduced and there's no telling how many people will get it etc.

That is a kick in the teeth , i was under the impression that it would have been an instant rejection ffs..Atleast i got an offer from southampton which is very respectable anyways
