Aero-mechanical engineering???

I‘m an english sixthform student currently studying maths, physics and product design. I want to go on to study engineering at university and am struggling to pick between aerospace and mechanical, at Strathclyde they have a course wich is both and was wondering if that is worth doing or weather i should make a choice and study one or the other. At this point then wich uni would be best between Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt and Liverpool for these two subjects?

idk if this helps but i’ve applied for both aerospace and mechanical at different unis, they’re so similar it’s not difficult to write a personal statement for both. and then you can choose once you have the offers.
Aerospace is really a specialism of mechanical engineering. The exit opportunities are very similar. Aerospace is more pointed to aeronautical applications but generally there is plenty of cross over. I work in teams which are happy to hire either.
