how does MA dissertations differ from BA

Hello, as part of my MA im required to write a 12-15000 word dissertation. I study Social Policy and will be doing qualitative research. Im not exactly sure what is required of me. I got a mid-2.1 for my BA..I would like something similar or higher
any tips? or are you in a similar place?

Firstly, have a look at the module handbook. It should give you a good overview as to what is expected. For developing research skills, see if your MA offers a seminar on research methods and on researching and writing a dissertation. This will help you with preparing and writing it. If you're unsure about any aspect, talk to your dissertation supervisor.
