Hopefully we can have some good discussions!

Hi everyone,

Finished my degree in 2022 in Diagnostic Radiography at RG Uni. Tried getting a junior dev role but was unsuccessful this year. Completed one internship in a FinTech company and one fullstack software bootcamp later. Been accepted for an MSc conversion with the University of Bath for the Computer Science course. What are people's thoughts on this particular MSc?

Hi all, following this thread. I'm planning to apply for the mid-year 2024 intake at University of Bath. I'm choosing Bath because of the online option (I'm in Canada) and the fees are not as expensive as other MSc Comp Sci programs in North America. I've seen some reviews from people about MSc conversion courses in the UK and most of them were able to make career transition to tech with their degree.

Have applied for the MSc comp sci at Nottingham plus MSc software engineering at Trent.

Coming from a healthcare background with a degree in Pharmacy. Hoping that my degree is sufficient for entry. I do have an online certification in JavaScript that hopefully shows my interest/fledgling ability in programming.

What made you target Nottingham specifically? Location preference?

Yeah, for me just location. Apart from the unaccredited online MScs I’m not too concerned with the prestige of the university as long as the course looks to be quality. To be honest I think the Trent course looks like I’d be better prepared for industry, but perhaps less prepared for academia.

How are your applications coming along?
Hey all,
I’m applying to UCL and Bristol. Got an offer for Bristol a few days ago. But I’m still waiting for UCL!
