I've got a careers advisor jobby booked for this time next week so I'm sure that would help.

Fret, how would commercial surveying differ to 'building surveying?'. In that, I mean - how would the work style and necessary skill set differ?

I'm pretty tired atm so pretty lazy to explain, but I'd advise you look at the big property firms' specialisms/services and decide what interests you the most. Just go onto Savills, Cushman & Wakefield, GVA Grimley, CBRE, etc. Also:

Although not sure how useful the info is, dates back to 2006.

And career advisors tend to know **** all in my experience.

I'm doing building surveying atm, the prospects are pretty lousy unless you have family connections or willing to work for free/less than minimum wage.

The careers meeting is with one of the lecturer's for the masters courses in property, construction & planning at my uni so hopefully it'll help.

As you mention, current job prospects are off putting...

Appreciate the help though.
