Anyone else smell something funny?

Seriously, you cannot be for real. Are you sure that you're at university?

Maybe he meant *apart from his hockey games and practice* he doesn't go out.

He stated that 'socialising' was the factor as to why he couldn't push himself to get a 2:1. Now as far as I know, you can't 'socialise' without going out. What he says doesn't add up, he's contradicting himself far too much.

No we are not upset, its more frustration than anything. There you are with an opportunity to make a good life for yourself and you are throwing it away. You are the one who should be upset with youself.

The work is very hard and even if I just study, not working or playing sports, doesn't mean I will get a 2:1

Yeah, I think I am capable of a 1st, if I just study.

There we go again  . Get a grip man.

Ok fair enough, but you seem like you need a reality check.

2. No student debt. I am living at home. I don't spend alot of money, as I hardly go out

You're lucky that your parents have let you live at home...Are they going to continue to do so when you finish uni because money doesn't matter to you and you'd rather play hockey?
I have to say, guest1984, your biggest issue isn't whether you'll get a 2:1 or a 2:2. I think you should be much more concerned with being an absolute ****ing goon who seems to be bordering on mental retardation.

Just study and try your best mate.Everyone posting in the thread is encouraging you to study.Furthermore, it's only 3 more months before it's over.I can't see why won't you want to try getting the best possible grade.

Why are you looking at every post I say? I might be a loser, but don't you have anything better to do with your time?

I am just saying what i feel at present, just 'cause I say one thing, doesn't mean I can't say another thing another time

Its like saying, I think I passed this exam, then the next minute, I think I failed it

You got issues mate

I might have issues, but I am doing my best in dealing with them

No, I don't want to read every post you say. You're not that interesting  . It so happened that I read through this thread before I replied. You know... the normal thing to do so that you don't end up replying and looking like an idiot. It also so happens that I have the memory span of a normal human being, so I will remember little things that have been said...

So you're trying to tell me that in the space of ~24 hours, you have gone from thinking that you are capable of getting a 1st, to being capable of getting a 2:2. Thats a big margin.

All i can say is that I'm surprised that this guy's rep hasn't dropped down faster than a lead block through a paper floor, given the number of 'interesting' threads they've been involved in...

To whom are you referring? Not many participants in this thread came out of it looking very good.

As previously mentioned, a 2:2 is a poor degree, and something of a waste of 3 years and a lot of money.

Er, no....

A First: Exceptional
2i: Very Good
2ii: Good
3rd: Satisfactory

Having said that - my brother achieved a 2ii and can now be seen at New Street Station, emaciated and in rags, holding out a begging bowl to all who pass by.

Actually, that's a complete lie - he is in graduate employment and is about to move into his first house.

Rugby was his passion at uni.

It depends on what you can achieve, if you can get a first but get a 2ii then that is a really poor degree, if on the other hand you scrape a 2ii after putting your heart and soul into it and trying your best then that is exceptional.

And nikk is right in saying that most graduate employers won't even look at people with anything less than a 2i  .

Going to uni' means I don't have to work! :p:

But you would have no life skills, employees want to see that you had a good time, done a sport, worked right? You know how boring it is to lock yourself up, I think i go crazy if i did that, not seeing daylight for weeks, maybe outside your window!

I like your last point!

You need to get clued up to the real world matey!
