i am really struggling with how the 6 agents of socialisation reinforce age and class identity. Please could someone explain it to me, I would be so great full. I need to give 2 examples for each agent. I'm not sure if I am doing the right thing so far but I have put:
family- allowing children to do more things as they get older such as staying out playing out with their friends for longer on an evening or going to bed later than they did when they were younger.
education- giving different roles to different pupils dependant on their age such as an older pupil being the leader in a group of younger pupils. Also older pupils having priority over who gets their lunch served first or who goes outside to play first.
please can somebody let me know if I am on the right track with this.
