Simply hearing people outside my office today waiting to be interviewed filled me with anxiety!

Just wanted to give them all a hug to be honest, some of them sounded so scared!

Poor things. It is quite nervewracking as an experience, I guess! Especially for those for whom it's a big life ambition, etc. :smartass:

Oh that's absolutely terrible. The Ski and Snowboard was one of my very favourite things at college. It must be really hard on them all having a committee member die during the varsity trip. Sigh. His poor family and friends.

I like the cut of your jib, @Fullofsurprises. With my recent experience as a model (I specialise in "before" photos for cosmetic surgery ads), we'll make the perfect team. No court in the land could find against us!

It's positively this kind of thing that drives people towards law as a career.

I knew it! That A E Housman was a proper boundah! Passing off Betjeman's plangent magnum opus as his own and then decamping to The Other Place. Grrrr...

Do I detect a note of scepticism?

Here is the man himself reading the poem.

This is about the real Shropshire; Coalbrookdale, Dawley and Ironbridge.

None of your Cluns and Clungunfords and Uricons here.

PS Housman was from Worcestershire

Are you trying to make me feel even older, Professor Tertius? I got this album when it first came out, and I was still on my third marriage. Besides, Enoch Powell's reverence for Housman innoculated me for life - one self-romanticising fake recognising another....

The Claimant's barrister is not an education law specialist but someone who normally deals with legal costs.

I suspect none of the education lawyers would touch it.

The claim should properly be for a loss of a chance; the difference between the chance of him becoming a hot shot commercial lawyer with his history 2:1 and with a history first.

This is an application to strike out the claim as having no reasonable prospect of success. He doesn't appear to be suing Brasenose. A lot has changed in 30 years, but it used to be a college responsibility to arrange undergraduate tuition.

The University has put up Julian ****ord a St John's graduate, who is an education law specialist, against him. ****ord read English. Anyone know if he got a 2:1?

Anyway if the claimant loses, ****ord could always play him the Academic Festival Overture

http://www.julian****orduk.com/

I do not know what has gone wrong with "****ORD'

Did you see that the judge in the case has approved it going forwards to court Nulli?
I commented on a page pointing out the fact that OUSU already denied forcing people to use "ze".

They responded by saying that's just "a few students" disputing it and they would go for the reputable sources. Then they blocked me.

Isn't it scary now if The Times reports that the world has stopped spinning and The Telegraph picks it up, it will become the reality?
Is it safe to come out yet?:ninja:

Had a little dabble but because I felt that Bristol University were trying an interesting experiment I was accused of being a "regressive leftist". Bit wide of the mark but terribly flattering.
