Aqa Statistics help!

Hello, exam tomorrow

I'm wondering whether I need to use specific notations for mean and standard deviation such as xbar and mu. Will I be penalised for using the wrong notation?
If you know to do it, then do it, if not then just write down what you are doing either mathematically or literally.

If you look at the mark schemes they often do not state the actual notation unless the notation is an unknown (for example in normal distribution), but even then as long as you have the right answer that is all they are looking for.

So no, it is not likely you will be penalised.
