English Language exam June 2014

Hi everyone
I was just wondering if someone could help me with the timing on the english language paper, so how long to spend on each question. Only asking this because in the mock I did in January, I completely messed up the timing and didn't even get round to doing the 24 mark essay at the end and ended up getting a D in the paper :/

24 marker if it is AQA
Write to argue for or against a view. Or it can be write to persuade a view.

Sure mate. AQA GSCE paper higher tier, understanding and producing non-fiction texts.

It would seem that a suitable allocation is
Section A (1 hour)
Q1 = 12 min
Q2 = 12 min
Q3 = 12 min
Q4 = 24 min

Section B (1 hour)
Q5 = 25 min
Q6 = 35 min

Leaving a good spare 15 mins for reading, checking etc.
