Ik this sounds like a completely absurd question but is it possible I could get full or very close to full marks in English language paper 2 if I practice lots during half term? Bc I’m desperate for my 9

And maybe I’m just underestimating myself but I don’t think I’ve done so good in paper 1 as I focused most of my time on question 5 and 4, I rushed question 3 and only wrote 1 &1/2 PRTEZEL paragraphs for question 2
So I think I might’ve got a 7 but I left revision completely to the night before
So I really want to make up for it

Thank you, here is my question 2 on the 2017 June paper, it would be really helpful anyone on here could mark it out of 8 and give feedback, thanks in advance

Question 2
Unlike the boy in source B, the boy in Source A spends his time playing with his parents and interacting with other people. The boy ‘knows how to switch off the television at precisely the most important moment’ so he likes to interact with his parents and get their attention but he also ‘loves running up to people’ in order to get the attention of others further suggesting he loves to interact and have fun with others while receiving attention to himself.
He also ‘laughs uncontrollably’ with his parents emphasising his complete trust in his parents and the joy he feels when spending time with them.

In source B, the boy spends his time playing in messy ways which could have annoyed his parents. The boy liked to create a mess of ‘cut paper upon the floor; of tumbled down card-houses’ suggesting that his activities were more chaotic and messy contrasting to the gentle nature of the boy in source A. Furthermore, the writer had to ‘obliterate mud stains, fruit stains, treacle stains, and paints of all colours’ from his clothes which demonstrates the boys love for playing outside and getting grubby rather than spending time with his parents. The writer further expresses that ‘all these things’ her child had done, she had ‘called responsibilities once’ indicating that the boys activities were fun to him but rather annoying to his parents.

I always use ChatGPT's marking, just copy and paste the mark scheme for that specific question, and give it the extracts, and it will mark it for you, it's actually so accurate to the actual examiner's marking ( I tested it by giving my answer to a teacher which is an examiner and both of the marks were pretty much the same ), and I did that for you and here is the mark
Final Mark: 6 out of 8
Feedback: Your response shows clear synthesis and interpretation of both texts, with relevant inferences and well-chosen references. To reach the top band, aim for more detailed and perceptive analysis, providing deeper insights and exploring the implications of the boys' behaviors. Great job overall!

Is a great exam paper remember how the two perspectives differ because one child is now and adult and the other only one year old. Also the emotive language (feelings) in Source A is very warm and funny in Source B is sad (Boy lost) full of regret! Two different viewpoints.
