When I was applying, I emailed Unis enquiring about the importance of work experience for neuroscience. The general consensus was that it isn't really needed as they understand the difficulty in getting a relevant placement, but any scientific based work experience might be useful and you can mention it in your PS

Okay, thanks! Which is the top uni you're hoping to go to? You're AS and predicted grades look amazing btw XD

What are the job prospects like after doing a neuroscience undergrad degree?

Well pretty much anything. Same sort of paths as any other life science degree. But the good thing about Neuroscience is how multidisciplinary it is, therefore opening doors in areas such as the pharmaceutical industry, but also things like Biotech, this could be as specific or as general as you could imagine. And of course you have the few that go into finance, law the corporate sort of area. Then you could of course, go down the psychology route and with further qualifications become a clinical psychologist. Neuroscience opens many doors despite the fact that it may seem so specialised. Also, there is so much research from the scientific community at the moment about neuroscience in all its facets, from neurodegenerative diseases to computational links that in the future there will be technologies and specific careers that created that don't exist right now. The has been another thread on this from a couple of years back. http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1182654 I would also advise you to look at some uni course's graduate destination data.

I would have applied for UCL or Kings, if I wasn't that bad at chemistry-but unfortunately, I am haha! But by the sounds of your username, '11Na23', I gather you enjoy chemistry? Well, at least when you get the offers, the universities will invite you for another open day-like event, so you can make a better informed decision!

Well, obviously it would be expensive and you'll get a completely different student experience, but you do have the excitement of living in the centre of one of the most vibrant cities in the world in all ways, culturally, architecturally etc.
