When you write, do you think ahead in your mind?

Strange question... When you're writing an exam answer, do you think ahead faster than you're writing? Are your thoughts linear - do you think of only one sentence or point when you're writing, or do you think of many points, and try to write them as logically as possible?

Which do you do?

Think much faster than I write. My brain is just so ****ing brilliant
You have to balance organisation of your thoughts and 'argument', and scribbling down all that you know to tick boxes... I guess
Anyone else have these annoying sharp cramps when writing too fast?!

I usually think while I'm writing, however I think maybe a second faster than i actually write down so I usually catch myself out if i'm not making any sense.
