Going on my first long haul flight tomorrow. So nervous, mainly scared about someone being sick.
Anyone got any tips for long haul flying?
Air can be quite dry up there, hence nasal spray or something like that helps. Just take anything with you, you would choose to be cosy. Drinks are generally no problem (though I have to say, I nearly allways pay more to have good airlines or was lucky enough to get it paid), as you get everything you want. Big socks may be comfortable, as shoes may hurt, a laptop/i-pad for watching dvds in case the entertainment system does not work. Maybe an own pillow or something to throw over the pillow, in case you feel uncomfortable using them. (Though they often very in plastic bags, so no need to worry.) In case you are tall, try to get a place near the emergency exits or in front, because then you have more space for your legs. If you sit in the back of the airplane, you are not far from the toilets and often back there, there is space to walk a bit and you allways find a steward to talk to.
I'm not a wizard and can't say magic words to make anyone better, but i can see people have been struggling recently and wish you guys all the best in coping with it all. In time you will find ways to cope, and no matter how bad things seem there will always be a part of you that will hold on
