The Student Room Group

Does anyone else find the 'liberal' politics they preach at university annoying?

I go to manchester met and it seems like the only politics allowed are liberal.

It's like they want everyone to be marxist, secular humanist, feminist etc

I dislike all 3 of them but the course I want to do the teachers seem to love them.

Anyone with a different opinion is pretty much silenced or treated with contempt and bullied into keeping quiet.

Has anyone else noticed this? Most of the other students just seem to go along with it :frown:

The problem is you're focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they ...are right in front of you, staring you in the face.

I think it's fair to say most student unions refuse anything that isn't ultra-liberal and left-wing. I mean, the Nietzsche club was banned on the grounds that it was "anti-marxist and anti-worker" for goodness sake.

These champagne socialist censoring ***** are nothing but pathetic hypocrites, who are more fascist than the people and things they are banning.
