i'd say 40k is just a normal life in London

So I'm part of the 3% of the population not in London but pay higher rate?

You really need more stats than that to know how normal it is.

Of course. Some areas are more prosperous than others. Kind of highlights how economically depressed some parts of the UK are.

But if you work for the government you don't really pay tax :wink:
