Read from page 17-20 of last year's. Someon has suggested that there are practice tests for £29. Would anyone be interested in jointly buying this?

Hi FO, don't know if you can message people on here but I'd been looking at buying some so I'd be interested if the offer still stands?

I would also definitely be interested.
Can someone confirm that an e-mail titled 'assessment invitation' from Kenexa refers to this scheme? Would have been nice of them to mention 'HMRC' in the body of the email hah.
So, did you guys purchase the deductive reasoning pack? The website is genuine, isn't it? :colondollar: What do you think of the tests, are they worth purchasing?

Yes, I received this email too. Kenexa is the provider of the online tests
From the email I received from HMRC - 'I am pleased to be able to tell you that you have been successful at stage 1 and I would now like to invite you to complete stage 2 of the application process which will be an on-line Deductive Reasoning test and Analytical Reasoning test. '

So is there no second numerical test?

Yeah I was confused as well when i received only that. I checked by logging into my application on https://www.civilservicejobs.service.gov.uk and under applications then under HMRC at the very bottom of the list is

29th November 2015 [email protected] CSR/2358/15 8

click on that and it's your confirmation letter haha

The deductive reasoning test is one test. The second test is the analytical reasoning, also known as the numerical test. :P

It's definitely from HMRC. On their FB page, they've said - "The stage 2 test link comes from our online test provider Kennexa/IBM. HMRC are one of many customers using their online tests..."

They've also put a status up saying - "Stage 2 Test Link
The stage 2 test link email is now being issued to candidates.

Please DO NOT activate this link ahead of the stage 2 opening tomorrow, on Wednesday 2nd December 2015.
Activatiing early may invalidate your stage 2 tests.

Please do not worry if you have not received yours yet, these are issued in batches, and in no particular order.
All candidates will have their test link by tomorrow.
PLEASE REMEMBER DO NOT ACTIVATE THE LINK UNTIL TOMORROW, 2nd DECEMBER 2015."

Hope that helps

@Shakedown, @theduffman82, @College rocks I have been having a private chat with @ABC...XYZ and we would be looking to purchase this practice material possibly on Thursday. If you are definitely interest then please confirm your interest by private messaging me. The plan is that any of us could pay for it and share with the other upon receipt of proportional share of the cost price.

I was bored this morning so completed both the analytical & deductive reasoning tests... And now I've just found out that we aren't supposed to activate the link until tomorrow!! How can they just put it on their Facebook page, how do they know that everyone will be following it!?!!? Oh dear.

Ah well, here's some info on the tests I did anyway..

The analytical is quite tricky in my opinion, the questions were slightly ambiguous and it wasn't immediately obvious which calculations you were supposed to make. Just practice numerical reasoning/critical numerical reasoning beforehand. The deductive reasoning was written logical problems (no images), e.g if X is adjacent to Y and opposite Z, who is below W, where is Y in relation to W. That kind of thing..
