The EU have just abolished the need for visa's for Turkey

As part of the deal concerning the immigration crisis the EU is going to give Turkish citizens visa free travel meaning unlimited numbers can enter

Is this a good idea to let millions of muslims enter the EU & it raises the wider question of whether Turkey should be an EU member

They are still in negotiation talks. Nothing has been decided.

Also the proposal is to speed up the visa process not get rid of it.

Try harder. Turkey wants to restart movement towards greater integration and membership of the EU. Visa free travel is but one of the requests on the agenda. Nothing is agreed.
This is simply the media manipulating the refugee issues to generate hysteria - and profit.
