I partly blame video games for terrorism and the recent events

the video game industry is deeply sick. they earn $billions by poisoning impressionable minds with their disturbing output, and then say it is only harmless fun for the kiddies which helps them develop motor skills and socialise.
the same goes for video producers... watching extreme nihilistic violence in titles such as Saw and Hostel is clearly going to influence young people in a bad way.
obviously i do not expect you to agree.

You are trying to say that one of the main reasons for the recent events (Paris) is that fact that violent video games exist (look at your title). These events are sourced from countries like Iraq and Syria, countries where people struggle to find a place to live and food. They don't even have electricity in 90% of the country. You have the audacity to suggest that kids in the west playing video games is part of the cause of this. What you are saying is parallel to suggesting that Eminem's music is the reason for all domestic abuse, or that Game of Thrones is a major source of why people rape and murder. It is quite infuriating that you are so closed minded, and quite frankly you should be embarrassed.

The fact that you are taking advantage of this horrible tragedy in order to promote your own agenda is quite insulting to the families of the victims and definitely in bad taste. You should be thankful for the fact that the closest you have been to been to war is hearing the sound of your brother playing Call of Duty.

I hope that as you grow you will learn that you world is not quite as simple as it seems.

Ok you do realize video game makers do have a target audience? and those that make the violent video games do not make them for children to play its illegal for children to buy them, the main problem is parents buying their children these games the video game developer has no say over this once this parent has bought the game the devs have targeted towards ADULTS the dev can't do anything.

look at the age rating 18 these movies are intended to be viewed by an adult audience.

No offence @elliemayxo, but this is stupid.

When I'm playing Payday, I don't think "oh boy, I really want to rob a bank".
When I'm playing CoD, I have never thought "I wish I could shoot a real person".
When I'm playing Fallout, "I really wanna nuke something" has never crossed my mind.

Throwing my own opinion out there, I think they're more likely to prevent violent attitudes than lead to them - venting yourself in a virtual world is far greater than actually going out and being violent in any way.

We're different people when we log in. And more than anything, I've always considered gamers to be the least threatening people around...

not really relevant here since nothing you've said is logical, or right. Plenty of research has been done into the idea you're suggesting, none suggests any causative link between playing violent video games and going on to commit violent acts, if anything it suggests a preventative effect.

I think we should also ban Candy Crush, it shows our children that it is perfectly fine to into a corner shop and just crush all the candy underfoot. This behaviour can NOT be accepted and things need to change soon, what a morbid world we live in. /s
