work experience/possible internships

Does anyone know how to get work experience/internships in the technology industry preferably in London (the fields I would like to go in is either cybersecurity or video games if that helps)?

are you a current university student or are you under 18?

And are you looking for work experience/internships because your school/college are forcing you?

Or for another reason like you're hoping to make contacts/find out more about apprenticeships with specific companies?

I’m looking to get more contacts (I asked for advice from my mum’s colleagues and they recommended to start networking now especially for a career in the tech industry). I also got LinkedIn but I’m not great at connecting to be honest
