Need help with gas exchange in insects and mammals

Hi, i am quite confused by the idea that gas can dissolve more easily in the fluid in the tracheal system. Water is more viscous than air,so surely it would be harder for the gas to diffuse in the fluid? And this is also the same for mammal but why? Also, can anyone explain everything about the tracheal system?in exams,i was often asked about the stuff that isnt even in the textbook. For example, the movement of abodomin helps to draw oxygen in and the reason there is no fluid on the muscle fibre during flight... Can anyone explain to me more about the tracheal system, just little facts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
