I didn't apply to change college?

I really need to change from a sixth form to a college but I didn't apply to other colleges. So I really need to study Art as an A-level currently I've been studying BTEC, but Art most likely won't run as an A-level in the sixth form in currently studying in due to not it not having enough students to run the course. I don't know what to do. I've been panicking lately I was told by someone that apparently if you haven't applied you can still go to the college and enroll a few days before and you might get a space if they have any available. Is this true? Can someone please suggest something I could do about this situation.

Yes that is true, in August/September time colleges have enrolment days where you can go in, choose a course and enrol but you can still apply now, it's not too late for this september
