Maths grade - remark & points

I got my gcse results today.

I did edexcel maths, higher. It doesn't show my marks but it shows 34 points. What does that mean?

For others with c, it shows 40 points.

I ended up getting a remark as I was told I was close to a C but does anyone know how long a remark takes?

Also what these points mean? Thank you.

36 points just refers to a D grade. They don't mean anything tbh.

I was one mark off a B, I'm getting it remarked but I also don't know how long it takes and what happens after its remarked. So confused, I'm really shocked I even got a C to be honest, pushing my luck with a B (but ima do it anyways)
