A* at A-level reform

How do you get an a* grade in the new a-level reforms?
By working hard!
The same way as you always would, by working your socks off. It's just a little more difficult thanks to the whole linear course thing. Can't rely on AS no more dammit!

Yeah but what grade boundaries do you need. Do you still have to get 90% in all the exams?

has always been on a2 performance....

You could get 300/300 in AS maths but get 279/300 in a2 and not get an a* if you didn't get 180 combined in C3+C4

No - you only ever had to average 90% UMS in A2, not get 90% of raw marks. Now that UMS are no longer used, you will have to do well enough to get an A* - the mark needed will vary with every subject and every year (just the way the raw marks needed always have done).
