I need help. So I've decided to take Art and history as two of my A levels however I am considering film studies as my third option. In the future I would love to work in the film industry (the creative side) and I feel like I would actually enjoy to learn more about film. My issue is the fact that film studies is not deemed an 'academic' subject even though it is an essay based subject similar to English literature. If anyone has some advice I would greatly appreciate some help about choosing my final option xx

It's not a tier 1 choice, but if you are interested in it you should choose it. You'd do yourself far more of a disservice by not pursuing your interests. Unless you are targeting some of the most competitive universities, these things won't matter a great deal. If you plan to study something creative at university then the answer becomes even clearer really.
