Classics at Cambridge

Hi,

Do you know colleges that are the best for classics and that accept more than others. Which colleges are really good at classics?

I've moved your thread to the University of Cambridge forum.

The standard of teaching is pretty much the same across all colleges - the department is responsible for lectures while the colleges have responsibility for supervisions. Small courses like classics share supervisions, so even in first year it's quite likely some of your supervisions will be at a different college.

Most colleges take between 2 and 5 classicists per year.

NB. The college you apply to doesn't affect your chances of getting a Cambridge offer. And approx 20% of offer holders are pooled to a different college to the one they originally applied to, so don't worry too much about the actual choice.
