okay so I’m supposed to be writing a ton of essays but I sound like a two year old half the time, how do I make them sound better and not so childish 🙃

Using a thesaurus can help sometimes, also you could talk to your teacher about your essays and see if they can recommend any sentence structures and sophisticated language to use.

You might be underestimating your own work. My students often say what they wrote sounds bad even when it sounds fine.

The best thing to do is practice! And reading books.

Get a style guide if you want to improve your writing style. Sounds very boring and dry, but it will help.
