Cambridge doesn't offer biomed engineering as a seperate tripos, just as chosen modules in 3rd & 4th year. Bionatsci would be more of an option I'd have thought
Oxford doesn't offer it either, so I have no idea what you are trying to compare here. If you want to do a specific biomedical engineering degree then Oxbridge are not an option.

ohh I didn't know that! thanks. I was surprised not to see it in the top rankings for it, ah no wonder. Well that's good news tbh since they're impossibly hard to get into haha

Its quite a niche course - you definitely need to search which unis offer it specifically and read about the course structure at each before you start trying to compare unis!

that's true, thanks. Well im probably going to take a gap year unless I get to go to a uni with a VERY late deadline lol (like after 18th June),doesn't have to be UK (ik the deadline's coming up)

Applying now is completely non-committal - you can withdraw at any point, decline offers and go for another course through clearing, whatever. If there's any chance you would want to go to uni in the UK next year i would put in an application.

I see, thank you very much for the helpful info. I really appreciate it.

As with any Engineering specialisation at Cambridge, the accreditation entirely depends on the modules you take. The same comment would apply if you wanted to "do" Mechanical, Aero, Civil, EE, or just about any other other specialisation.
Oxbridge > Imperial > UCL in pretty much all cases.
Some people would rate Imperial higher than Oxbridge in certain situations, most the time they're just trying to belittle the other Oxbridge uni as part of the rivalry.
