If someone is unable to get employed for several years after graduation (say 7+ years) do Student Finance England chase them for loan repayments? I am really considering not going to university if this is the case. I have chronic depression as it is and don’t want to lose sleep over this.

Sorry to hear about your depression. You'll have to just send in proof that you've had minimal employment or are living on benefits/savings with the appropriate form. They won't 'force' you to pay with money that you don't have. You just have to be well documented.
