Is an access course in bio sciences looked down on at PhD level and above?

So I'm looking at doing an access course in biological science followed by a BSc in microbiology, will my unorthodox route be considered less favorably when I apply for a PhD or going into a research/ academic career?
Basically, will it matter once I have the BSc?

Nope. PhDs are a long way off still so focus on getting the good BSc first.

Thanks, thought I might be worrying over nothing, but wouldn't like to go down the wrong path.
