Nose piercing and food service?

So I work in a chain restaurant in England and have been working there since mid January this year. On tuesday I was planning on getting a nose piercing (very small ring through my nostril) but I was wondering if there is any legality issues to this and working in food service?

I work solely as a Server so my job involves taking orders, running food and drinks and generally overseeing customer experiences. i never enter the food-preparing area.

My concern is if I do get it done I obviously can’t take it out without it healing up, and I don’t want my boss telling me I cant have it as I’ve wanted it done for a very long time.

Any knowledge or advice about the subject would be appreciated :smile:

Why not approach your boss with this issue and ask for their go-ahead instead of turning to the general student population? The logic is not strong with this one.
