Can a teaching degree be used elsewhere?

Hi  skip this paragraph if you can only answer the main question, this paragraph is context and whether this is looking to be an alright path
I’m going to be doing politics at the university of Glasgow!
I read to be certified to teach in catholic schools 80 credits have to be from theology & a max of 20 of those credits can be from philosophy
So for my first year I’m planning to do philosophy, theology & politics (as well as n5 maths at college - I sat it for the first time in s6 and got a D. Is it possible to crash higher? I can’t be bothered doing the same course but I don’t know)
So in 2nd year I can pick up psychology and drop philosophy (with a heavy heart) and continue politics so I can have at least some background in the event an opportunity to be a guidance teacher comes up!
Then do honours in politics or joint (but I don’t really want to do theology as a honour subject, is there a way to do another subject at honours without cutting out theology for my credits?)
Then do a postgraduate with Catholic accreditation in education, specialising in modern studies or religious studies

If I were to do a postgraduate degree in teaching, could I still apply to other jobs and be considered employable? I just like the thought of having full flexibility and I don’t know what to do just yet for sure

Any advice is helpful - thank you!!!
If it was me, I would look to see which jobs interest me as during my degree. You would be able to apply for a range of jobs anyway with your undergraduate degree, especially if you do work experience and volunteering, etc. Use your careers centre well, do your research and attending career fairs/networking events. If I was very certain that I want to do teaching, then I would do the postgraduate. If not, you could save yourself the time and money by not doing this straight after graduation.
