Well GCSE determine whether you get into Sixth form and you’ve achieved that . Oxbridge are more interested in you A levels most of their degree require A*A*A or AAA* but if you don’t get that then it’s not completely the end of the world you can get in with different results . It all depends really on your interview if they feel that you would be an asset to their university and that you would cope then chances are they’ll let you in . I hope that helps
Thank you for replying

those requirements are quite daunting actually - but i'll try my hardest

has anyone tried getting in for geography in oxbridge?
Hi there, glad to hear you're considering applying to Oxbridge! Those grades will be more than enough to apply, providing you get the A level requirements that Aqua_shade correctly gave - Oxford Geography offer A*AA.

I've had experience going through Oxbridge admissions (perhaps unsurprisingly), so I'd be happy to answer any questions. Your A Levels will stand you in good stead for both Physical and Human Geography (which you have to do for Year 1, but then choose between in year 2). If you're just going into sixth form, then you've got a while to go. I'd really recommend trying the UNIQ Summer School if you go to a state school, which you can apply for this December as a way to experience Oxbridge life (http://www.uniq.ox.ac.uk/geography). I did it, loved it, applied and never looked back.
