Maths question is soo long that i'm lost?

The Line L1, with the equation y = 3/4x, bisects the angle between the x-axis and the line y = Mx, M > 0. Given that the scale on each axis are the same, and that L1 makes an angle θ with the x-axis,

a. Write down the value of tan θ?

(it's a 1 marker)
Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
Ok so you need to work out where the equation crosses the X axis first so you will need to replace all the Ys in the equation with a 0 and solve for X... I'm sure the rest of the workings should be a piece of cake
is it not just tan(0.75) or am i going crazy

I haven't tried this question but it could be...

Yeah I got tan(theta) to be 0.75. The whole y=mx, m>0 is pretty unnecessary.

Can you send a picture of the probelm?

Just tried it and got same answer as you

Sorry meant tan(O)=0.75.
It’s pretty obvious because the question says write down whichever means no calculation should be needed
