How much important is university prestige ??

How much important is university prestige ?

And what do you think about getting a second master degree in a related field (not in the the same ) just for the university prestige ? Writing a top tier in your CV could boost your chance to have a better career ?

Agreed. Of course a lot of people will tell you it's not important, for obvious reasons...
Would depend on the field and what the second master's is in/how it differs from the second. If it's more specialised, it makes some sense. If you're doing the same degree again but at a better uni, a lot of places won't even take you and probably is a waste of time.

Not the same degree but a related field
So a better ranked university = better prospect ?

Second masters shortly after a similar first masters is IMO likely to make you look like a 'stamp collector' or a job dodger to prospective employers... you'd better have a sensible explanation ready for interviews.

might be viewed differently in different cultures, but I think UK employers are going to see that on your CV and wonder what you're doing with your life.

This. It looks live work avoidance if you do it full time, and still pretty weird if part time.
I would say it’s a 7 important.
