Financial advice - Returning to uni to study second degree
I completed my first degree in Nursing in 2011. I have now been accepted into Abertay to study the 4 year Bsc Psychology honours course starting in September 2019, with the aim of going on to do a masters in Educational Psychology following this.
I have applied to SAAS and have had the highest loan awarded and a single parent grant, however I will have to pay my fees this time as I have had them paid for my first degree, which I was aware of.
Can anyone tell me how much these fees will be, and if there is any kind of loan I will be able to get in order to help to pay them? I had been under the impression they would be £1680 or there abouts. However, I have read somewhere that they could be anything up to almost £10,000 per year due to this being a second degree for me. My income is going to drop dramatically, although I will be trying to do nurse agency shifts as and when I can. Does anyone know of any financial assistance I might not be aware of?
