Awesome, long trek for you too then. As for interview prep the doctor I work with says medic mind website has some really good stuff he used!
studying in Liverpool but coming from back home in Leicestershire! Very long trek, think I’m gonna have to get a flight to Edinburgh then get the train 😭

Medical School Interviews" book by isc medical!
I found it a great resource when I was preparing for my interview(as I had never done an MMI previously).

Same! But fingers crossed if we get in, I may go for the car option as it's much much cheaper 😂

I got interview too. I was initially confused as the email wasn't addressed with my name but just 'Good Afternoon'. But just realised it is same for everyone that got invited.😁😁

A100's have been receiving invites.

Here's a link to the A100 thread when people started getting interviews:
https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6022678&page=4

It's commonly said that hearing nothing is usually good news. I believe it's a uni by uni basis though and can't comment on A100. According to the thread, invites have been rolling out for about 2 weeks so far.
For A101 does anyone know if the interviews are sent out in batches or just generally how they are sent out, getting stressed out as a lot of people have heard back. Cheers

no clue but maybe ring up and ask them if it puts your mind at ease!

Try not to stress and overthink it before you've had a definite answer!

Really enjoying it so far!
The week is a great mix of clinical work, anatomy, lectures and placement which is far better than sitting in a room all day doing lectures imo!
It's very full on - literally did first venepuncture last week on week 11 of first year!!!
St Andrew's is a nice friendly place in general (apart from the rain and lack of sun )

Any tips for the interview

Hi,

I wonder what is the difference between ScotGem and the other GEM in the UK ?
It seems that the program is different and it is mainly for future GP. Does that mean that student looking to become specialist doctors will be less prepared for FY ?
Thank you !

No not necessarily, you would still graduate with the same qualification as those graduating from any other medical course and would be entitled to pursue any specialities after foundation years, just as others would.
