Thoughts on your experience of Surrey Vet School?

Have you enjoyed it? What made you pick surrey? What dont you like?
Hopefully someone will come along who is studying there but we (me and my daughter) went to the open day on Saturday and really loved it. We only went round the Manor Park campus due to time restraints and my daughter is going to Summer School there in a couple of weeks so it was more for me to have a look.

The Manor Park campus is purposely built for vet school and the sports courses (and a new building for something which I can't remember) and so everything is shiny and new and big enough to cope with the demand. The accommodation seemed nice and it felt safe round there (unlike Bristol which felt a bit dodgy round some of the areas). The Stag Hill Campus is about a 10-15 minute walk away with Guildford the same from there and there is a big Tesco between the campuses. DD particularly liked the pathology suite. She also like the ideas of the vet partners rather than an on-site vets some unis have. We thought at first it would be a bit of a disadvantage but after finding out more it seems it is the opposite as you get to see the way approx. 7 places work rather than 1 or 2 onsite. Some of the practices are equine specialists (the partner we spoke to said they often have one on one tutoring where the take you out in their car to treat cases), wildlife park, a research place and also Fitzpatrick Referrals.

Liverpool is still at the top spot for DD, but only just and that is due to the impressive equine facilities there but Surry are building an equine extension too.

It's also only 34 minutes from London on the train too.
