2019 GCSE OCR Computer Science - NEA Music game

Im currently trying to write a program for the NEA about a game that picks a random song from a list, shows the artist name and the first letter of each word of the song and then gives the player two chances to guess the song. I am currently struggling to find a way to retrieve the song name and hide the letters, is there anyone that knows a successful way of doing so?

My teacher mentioned this once to our class but unfortunately I was not paying much attention. However, he demonstrated how the people who needed to do it should go about coding it (I wasn't one of these people) and there were a lot of IF and ELIF statements although I guess there is probably a way to make these quite a lot neater and less messy. Sorry I couldn't be of much help but a post in the Computer Science and ICT section might get more responses.
