Open University Physics - Lab Experience?

Hi everyone!

Im past the mid-point of my first year of studying Physics with the Open University, and I have only positive things to say for the majority of my experience with the Uni so far.

However, there is no actual lab work. Experiments? Sure they have us do plenty of experiments at home, but that is in no way a substitute for actual experience inside a laboratory.

Have any other Open Uni physics students found a way around this?

Did you take a complimentary lab course somewhere? Im hoping someone will share some ideas of how I can get myself into a lab routinely..
