geography A level question need help please

Explain why different groups would have contrasting views about regenerating
vacant land in cities.
-Different groups have different needs so different options
-length of residence (sense of belonging, don’t like change)
-other land use in the area
Vacant lands - people may like it vacant, less noise pollution
Less people

No vacant
More noise pollution
More traffic
More transport
Can increase wealth within the area something like that
Yeh, regenerated land is creating jobs which encourages spending in the local area allowing more development and becoming a more affluent area
So the unemployed think regenerating the vacant land is a good idea, while the older generation may have more negative views due to greater place attachment through having longer residency

Explain why different groups would have contrasting views about regenerating
vacant land in cities.

cons
pollution (noise, air, light) [unhappy residents- tend to be older residents]
that land could have greenery and therefore you're destroying habitats [nature reservists would not like it]
people's homes could be destroyed in the process [unhappy residents]
a changed sense of place [unhappy residents, older generation]
current businesses in the area could be destroyed [unhappy local workers]

pros
can bring investment plus tourism opportunities and creates job on a local scale [beneficial to government and the cities local governing bodies]
is an eyesore [inhabitants would enjoy activities in this area]

i hope i helped
