Declaring an Academic offence to the SRP
I have recently been told that I have committed an academic offence ... and was trying to know how to declare this to the SRA as I have already applied for LPC... and I was told that if I don't declare this it might affect me in the future

It depends what the offence is. Academic offence is too vague and you give no indication as to whether you are guilty.
They are looking for plagiarism or cheating.
You can either apply to the SRA for pre approval or leave it till being admitted. The pre approval I believe is £39.
