When do A-level results come out?

The A-level results day for 2020 is Thursday 13 August 2020.

In Scotland, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) publishes its examination results online on Tuesday 4 August 2020 - the same day your certificate arrives by post.

What about Covid-19?

If you're an A-level student concerned about how the current COVID-19 situation will affect your chances of going to university in 2020/21, the government has released some details.

The start of term this year cannot be exactly the same as last year. However, we are working hard to strike the right balance between giving you the best possible on-campus experience at the same time as keeping you – and everyone else – safe and well. Our commitment is to offer you our facilities, services and support in every way we can, while we are all living and working within government guidelines. So, in addition to online lectures, you will get the on-campus access you need to facilities, laboratories, studios and specialist equipment.

What is clearing and who is it for?

Clearing is for:

Anyone who has not yet applied for university but wants to enrol on a course in September 2020

•

Anyone who hasn’t achieved the grades required and who hasn’t been accepted for their first (firm) or second (insurance) choice university

•

Anyone who has not yet received any offers for a place at a university.
