Math

The gas reading at the beginning and end of the period were:

8247 8631

The cost of the gas is 11p for each unit.
There is also a fixed charge of 25.57.
Calculate the cost of the gas
You must show your working out.
first try to identify how much gas units you've actually used. then if it's 11p per unit you should be able to carry out a basic calculation to find the cost.

however there's also a fixed charge which must be included so add that on the end as well

8631-8247 = 384 units of gas used

11p * 384 units = 4224p or £42.24

£42.24 + £25.57 = £67.81 as final answer.

That wasn't too hard now, was it? I created an account just for this lol

I don't think you're allowed to just give out the answer. pretty sure it's against forum rules
