Genuine question: @04MR17 do you ever see yourself leaving TSR and if so why?

A very good question.
At the moment I don't see myself leaving TSR because I feel I have a lot to offer the site and the community.
If there gets to a point where I feel stifled in my ability to help and support the users on the site, then that would be when I depart. Or when I feel I have no more left to give.
what were the purpose of social groups?

What is 'clunge'? :colondollar:

I googled it and I regret doing so.
It is a "vulgar term for..." ; perhaps you can work out the rest.

Do you feel your time as a purple person has damaged your enjoyment of the site, having seen it from a different angle? :holmes:

That's a really good question.
Honestly, no. I still recognise the TSR I joined in 2014, and I still recognise the community I was part of as a standard user before I became a CA (4 years ago nearly). I think the 04MR17 from 2014 probably wouldn't recognise the 04MR17 of now as portrayed on the site. I've changed a lot, so my outlook on TSR has naturally changed with it and I think I probably enjoy the site more now than I used to. I think a lot of this has to do with how the VT role is now much much more about content creation than the old mod role was about moderation.

In your opinion, please describe:
a) The qualities of a good FH/VT/VSL.
b) The qualities of an undesirable FH/VT/VSL.

A good FH is...
- Friendly, supportive, energetic, helpful, positive and communicative.
A good VT is that plus...
- Approachable, calm, supportive, organised, coherent and communicative.
A good VSL is that plus...
- Approachable, calm, organised, encouraging, empowering and communicative.

It sort of builds, each should have the skillset of the previous one. Someone doesn't have to be all of that list to be a good FH/VT/VSL. Just the good people I've shared experiences with have had those qualities.

An undesirable FH....
> Replies to troll threads.
> Doesn't use the report function.
> Is disrespectful toward other users.

An undesirable VT is that plus...
> Disorganised and uncommunicative.
Same with VSL.

Great question.

Given TSRG's disastrous financial position, that could well become a reality.

Officially I am supposed to tell you that the answer is no.
I would love to be more detailed and tell you the correct answer............

 thanks
Folks this has been good fun so far, thank you for all your questions.

I'm off to bed now. :goodnight:

I have some train journeys to complete tomorrow so will be answering the remainder of your questions then (lunchtime/early afternoon tomorrow.)

See ya. :hi:
Would anyone from the VT like to buy a kitchen sink off me? There are a whopping 908 styles and 10 colours to choose from. Each sink contains a dihydrogen monoxide filter giving you and your family peace of mind.
Here at Stop **** we believe in keeping prices down, for this reason we send a FREE plumb-it-yourself guide with every order.

We can have your purchase shipped to most locations in the UK within 12 hours.

Hit me up with your card details and we will be good to go.

Well I shall rule out the essay squad immediately, I set that up in about 2015 and never did anything with it.
A nod of appreciation goes out to the Comic Sans MS Appreciation society.
However, I think my favourite has to be the Counters Society, which I sort of help to push along in the early days of 2015 (I started counting during Part 7 of CTAM :colondollar:).

Nice honourable mentions but ultimately a very deserving winner :rave:

I don't even remember you being a FH, never mind an ST. Did you have a different username or something?

I was FH since July 2018 m8, purple since November, never changed the username. Change my avatars every few months though.
I think you even once recommended I apply for it

Yes! It's the avatar which confused me. Glad you went for it after all
