How's English Lit /Lang in uni ?
How is it ?
Will i even be able to do english lit/lang in uni even though im doing level 3 btec exteded diploma in engineering with core maths ?(i just realised i dislike it ) ?
did i need to do english at a levels to do it ?
Would you recommend it/ what do you study ?

You will need English A level to do English at degree level.
However, there are many other degree courses you can do without the relevant A level - have a look at this list :https://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/
At this Uni, you could do Anthropology, Media, Geography, Sociology, Film Studies, American Studies, Law, Philosophy etc......

Agreed - but how are you going to write a convincing Personal Statement with relevant examples of your academic interests within English Lit - when you only have a GCSE.

i could get a reference and portray my dividing interest between engineering and english in the past and why i chose engineering over english.

Do you really think that explaining why you did a BTEC in Engineering could in any way help you get an offer for an English degree?

i mean i can change my options , only been in sixth form for 2 weeks . i can change it to bio chem and english lit
but thanks anyways .ill decide if i should change my options
