UCAS and Degree Apprenticeships

I am a year 12 student considering applying for a degree apprenticeship in engineering, and I was confused on whether or not you apply through UCAS, or if it is directly to a certain company. Does it count as one of your five UCAS applications?

It depends on the company. For example, I applied to 2 PwC degree apprenticeships via UCAS, leaving me with only 3 uni choices! however, most companies don't require for you to apply through UCAS.
