Personal Statement Structure

So not sure what is the best structure for it.

I am considering doing like a timeline.

Starting from what inspired me to choose this course until what I intend to do when I complete the degree.

Is that structure ok ?

im probably gonna do something similar tbh
need to have my first draft by september
but that sounds like a pretty solid structure
what course?

I’ve heard that doing an introduction main body and conclusion is good where the intro gives an insight into the main body of the ps what course you applying for??

Don't plagiarize, but I'm sure that if you have a search you'll find examples of statements of varying quality, and some of which may well suit your personal styles. Best not be too formulaic.

Hey, just finished first year of uni and this was my structure (biology PS).

Introduction to why I wanted to do the course

A MOOC I took about my degree

More specialised stuff I did (another course and an experiment from a science club that related)

Extracurricular stuff that kind of relates but isn't as specific as the earlier stuff (e.g. helped run a science discussion club)

Work experience (wasn't higher as it was only like 3 days)

Unrelated extracurricular stuff (literally 2 lines)

Conclusive statement

and physics and spanish are alright for me, i suck at maths tho :frown:

Bio and chem are super hard I’m stuck on D and E grades and maths I’m stuck on Bs

ahh yea they sound like super difficult subjects tbh
maths im on a D but ive gone over a bunch of stuff and understand year 1 so much better now
probably should have done that 3 months earlier :s-smilie:

Yeah that’ll be great Thankyou!! I guess maths is maths so I’ll just make sure the topic qs I’m doing are on my spec
