Yeah some comments on here doesn't give much hope but I suppose not much we can do, just wait and hope for the best. Still the enhanced check after SC aswell.

Not to pile on the misery but after I got SC it was an additional 15 weeks till I got my EIC.

My posting is Heathrow . Start date November 1st.

For me it took about 9 weeks to have all checks completed after SC checks. At point of arranging start date at Heathrow. Hoping for 2nd October. Otherwise I will have to ask for January start date. Reason is they don't want you to take time off for first 9 weeks because of training and that probably means working at Christmas.

Sounds about inline with how long I will be waiting for my ASC. 10 weeks and counting since I received my SC. I will be lucky if I can still join you in November at Heathrow. It will be almost 12 months since I applied if I don't start before next year. Anyway congrats on getting a starting date and thanks for the insight.

I've just seen this and my jaw almost his the floor! I thought after SC the EIC would be pretty quick. Back to waiting then.
Hi

I have a question on behalf of my friend he has received a professional offer and I said I will ask on here. For his pst questionnaire what is the reference number that he needs to write on the form is it the 6 digits number. It’s not the application ID which is 7 digits. Any help would be great thanks
Q What is the job reference number?
A If you are newly recruited to the Home Office, the advert to which you applied will have a 7 digit number that needs to be included.

So he only needs his 7 digit application number
According to the Q&A that accompany the pst questionnaire
Anyone else who’s been given a start date asked to confirm if circumstances have changed since clearance and to mention any holidays had ?

I don't know why EIC is mentioned in relation to the border force role. As far I understand it there are four stages to ones Pre Employment Checks (PEC). Pre Employment Screening (PES), UKSV Security Clearnace (SC), Additional Security Checks (ASC) and Health Checks. The forms filled out for each step give a fair idea of what the stage consits of and utilises. The ASC Stage normally comes with an email containing the ASC1 form and FAQ PDF which answers most questions. Personally it is taking more than five months to complete however I do have extenuating circumstances.

That sounds about right for me step wise, understand it taking a while just wondered what else they could need to check as I'm ex military anyway.

My SC was submitted awhile ago and was showing completed on 9th august (this month) I still have not received confirmation if I’ve passed it or not. I emailed NSVS and they said I need to speak to home office decision maker I cannot find their email so I asked them for it and they said they can’t provide it. I’m clueless on what to do and or why it’s taking so long

Hi, Have you had any response from Home office yet? I am in the same boat too. Mine was completed on the 10th with no further updates. Please keep us posted.
