Foundation Diploma in Art & Desgin

Hi,
I am looking into Foundation Diplomas in Art and Design and would love some advice on the best Foundation courses to look into. I am looking at a few already (e.g UAL, CityLit) however it would be great if someone could recommend me some respected + good courses as I am struggling to find comprehensive lists/info online. Ideally I want to be based in/around London area however am open to anything within the UK.
Thank you!!
hey! i’ve applied to a few for a september start, and i’ve got into kingston and manchester met which i think are two of the top ones in terms of resources and reputation, and i think i’ll be taking up kingston! in london, obviously central saint martins is super popular, along with the camberwell one + kingston, i think i also read about city and guilds being an ok one. i’ve heard the csm one is more the name though, with not much contact with tutors and little work space, and they are taking their time to reply!!

other than that i got into the arts uni bournemouth one which looks really good!

hope that’s helpful!

There is a good list in the thread at the top of this forum that lists all the Universities that do a Foundation Diploma. From this, my daughter chose AUB, as OFSTED outstanding for the diploma and to give her University experience.
However, it doesn't seem to really matter where you go, from the point of view of Degree course applications.

I ended up going to Kingston for my foundation and it was really good, very much recommend it for a FAD. I specialised in illustration, and they give you a lot of work but you gain a lot from it. I think the Fine Art specialism's a bit more laid back, but that's pretty much the case everywhere from what I've heard. You have access to all the workshops as well, which is nice, they have some really good ones.

I'm currently at the Camberwell foundation and have enjoyed it a lot. If you have any questions about it let me know

Hi I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions. Do you go in every day to Camberwell? Also, is it easy to get space in the studio, I heard that there is a lot of students doing foundation there. And did they give you advice on what to do next?
